What's included:
• The initial online consultation with a doctor is free of charge and is required to understand your situation, symptoms, medical history, and to discuss your treatment plan. If you had previous vein examinations, your doctor will review the results and advise you on the possible treatment options. In some cases you might be advised to undertake examinations in your home country before traveling to Baltic states for vein surgery. For UK patients, we can help with referral to local clinics and specialists.
• After initial online consultation with a doctor, our team will start looking for the right clinic, specialist and treatments that suit your needs. Our team will provide treatment plan options for you and once you are happy to proceed, we will make all necessary reservations for you.
• It is same day minimally invasive treatment, meaning that all required diagnostics, consultation and vein surgery can be done in just one day. Normally, patients will need 1/2 day stay in a hospital and will have nursing care, medications and post-surgery consultation with a doctor. However, you will be covered for your stay in hospital as long as it is clinically necessary.
• This package price includes all pre-operative tests that the hospital requires to ensure you are fit for surgery, the fees for your consultant, anaesthetist to perform the procedure, vein surgery and any nursing care, medication and post-surgery consultation. However, there could be additional costs for additional services and non standard health conditions or patient requests. This will be made clear to you before you go ahead with your treatment.
• The package also covers you for a single follow-up consultation (online or physical appointment).
All treatments are performed in the Baltic states. It is same day minimally invasive treatment and in most cases, patients can take their flight back home the next day.

What is Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA)?
Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA) is a new method of treating the underlying conditions that cause varicose veins. Instead of using the old surgical approach, the EVLA method uses laser and it's heat to kill abnormal veins. It helps to restore healthy blood flow, fix associated vein symptoms and improve the overall appearance of the legs.
Varicose veins is a common problem. It develops when the the small valves inside the vein stop functioning properly, which means they let the blood fall the wrong way down the leg causing the damage.
The EVLA approach has been used since 2000 and proved to be safe and effective in treating varicose veins. It is performed under local anaesthetic and carried out as an outpatient procedure, meaning that patients can go home same day. Almost all patients with varicose veins are suitable for EVLA.
Frequently asked questions?
Is it safe to go abroad for vein surgery?
Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA) is same day minimally invasive treatment. It is considered to be safe and serious complications are very rare. In most cases, patients do not need to stay in hospital overnight and can fly back home the day after. As with any medical procedures, there are some risks such as bruising, hematoma, local parestesia, thrombophlebitis, nerve damage and blood clots. However, these risks are generally related to medical procedures and your individual health condition rather than travel. Our doctors will do post-surgery assessment and will provide you with a full guidance on how to travel after vein surgery, aftercare and rehabiltation.

Will endovenous laser ablation procedure work for me?
Endovenous laser ablation is a state-of-the-art technique that uses a laser to permanently seal problematic veins. This procedure is suitable for people with deep vein problems, visible lumps and people experiencing pain, crumps and swelling. For smaller, superficial veins, sclerotherapy treatment is more appropriate. You should always consult with a doctor before booking any vein treatments.
According to The Vein Institute, EVLA success rates range between 94% and 100% for all patients. After surgery you will need to wear compressions stockings for at least one week. It’s also important to avoid strenuous workouts or jogs during this time.

Will I be awake for the procedure?
The EVLA procedure is generally performed under tumescent (local) anaesthetic and is guided by ultrasound scanning. Therefore, you will remain awake throughout the procedure. After surgery, you will be required to stay in hospital for a couple of hours to rest and recover after anaesthetic. EVLA procedure normally takes 30 minutes to couple of hours.
